Subject: Press Release for Joy Creed’s Win for "Top female Gospel Reggae Artist of the year'!

Joy Creed celebrates “Top Female Gospel Reggae Artist of the Year” for 2009 at the Canadian Reggae Music Awards.

The evening of Saturday, March 28th was an exciting night of celebration for Joy Creed as she took home the award for “Top Female Gospel Reggae Artist of the Year” at the Canadian Reggae Music Awards held in Toronto, Canada.

The prestigious accolade represents Joy Creed’s first music award and also as a new and up-coming gospel recording artist living in Toronto. Presented by the CRMA awards committee at the Double Tree Hilton in Toronto, Joy Creed was filled with excitement, as her name was announced as the winner and as she gracefully walked to the platform to accept her award. The most rewarding thing for the night was to see people dancing to her music as they played the track, ‘Song of Moses,’ written by Joy Creed, from her debut album, ‘Lily of the Valley.’ All attendees were elated and on their feet wanting more!

Background:

Notably, one radio DJ at the CRMA, after presenting Joy with her award, mentioned that within the first three minutes after playing Joy Creed’s music on the radio, all of his 12 telephone lines were lit up with fans asking for more. Joy Creed, a talented and diversified artist, hopes to continue to light up the heart and soul of many, both nationally and internationally and across all cultures. Joy gave several memorable performances during 2008, one of which includes, ‘Youth on the Go’ which was held at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto in July. Joy had her fans rocking and asking for more. To view a video clip of Joy performing at this event, please visit www.joycreed.com/links

Joy Creed anticipates next year’s award show, as she continues to write and produce her music. She will release her junior gospel reggae album this year called, ‘Destiny’. Listen out for some Old School vibrant dancehall, reggaeton, roots, only to name a few, styles of reggae riddims that will keep the nation rocking and skanking, while inspiring and connecting with fans through her music and talent.
